Studies on Variability in Chilli (Capsicum spp.) in Central Himalaya

Abstract

There is rich variability in Chilli (Capsicum spp.). Defence Agricultural Research Laboratory, Pithoragarh has
assembled and evaluated the variability available in Capsicum spp., with the objective to find out the promising
genotypes on the basis of high yield, biochemical parameters and capsaicin contents. The genotypes which were
found promising can be used in further breeding programme for improvement in various yield and nutritional
parameters in Capsicum spp.
