Abstract

Bread wheat is one ofthe important cereal crop ofmillions of people in the world and it is also being utilized as animal feed in some states of India. Therefore, genetic improvement of crop varieties is one of the tool to fulfil the future demand of wheat. Before initiation of any successful breeding program for improvement of grain yield and its components, it is essential to know precisely the genetic architecture ofparticulartrait having economic value. Thus, estimation ofrelative magnitude of different gene effects, their interactions have immense value to the breeders as they provide useful information for choosing appropriate breeding procedures for future improvement of the traits.
